Subject: Titan Level “8 on 8” Rules

Attention: NECYFL Associations and League Officials

Eight Man Football Rules:

• Offense Team A  

1. Minimum 5 down linemen (Center, 2 Guards, 2 Tackles)
2. Maximum 3 in the Backfield (QB and 2 RB’s)
3. Team A may lineup with one Tight-end and or one Wide Receiver
4. PAT - 1 Pt for Run, 2 Pt for Pass

• Defense Team B

1. *Maximum 4 down line men (2 DT and 2 DE)
2. *LB’s and DB’s MUST lineup minimum 5 yards from LOS
3. *Blitzing is not permitted
4. *LB’s and DB’s MUST maintain the 5 yard restriction until ball is snapped
5.  2 defensive lineman opposite the tackles must be in a 3 pt stance
6. No defender over the center or in the A gaps
7. 6-2 Defense Only on 4th down

• Special Teams, Field Markers and Clock

1. Ball to be made ready at Team A’s 30 yard line to start each half (no kick-offs)
2. After a score, ball will be made ready at Team A’s 30 yard line
3. Goal line markers will be placed at 10 yard line (80 yard field)
4. Team A may use the "4th" down option rule 
5. *Clock is running a time of 30 minutes per half (Clock only stops for injury or team time out)
6. *Each Team is entitled to “1” full timeout per half
